Yeah I see what you're saying. I actually like Paulie, I'm surprised we haven't seen him sooner. Tavarez's ERA is big, no question about it but those are pen numbers. He does do better as a starter and we could have used him a time or two this year. (Sure he could have gotten lit up too, there are no guarantees.) posted @ 08/21/2008, 1:42pm |

My reasoning for keeping Tavarez is that using him in a spot starting role he will eat up innings. He may lose, he may win, but the key was eating up innings once every fifth start so as not to burn the pen up. posted @ 08/21/2008, 8:33am |
