Turned 23 last night and i was at the bar watching the last game at Yankee stadium.(shtfaced) So with my red sox blood aside. I must say the last night in yankee stadium was emotional. If any of you have ever been there you can agree with me that it is a enormous building. I was there in 2004 for the ALCS game 2 As much as i hate the yankees and all they stand for it is a place that has held some historical and memorable times in the footprint of baseball. this is also the first season i can remember the yankees not making the playoffs. Either way its an end to a great chapter in the book of american baseball and as much as i hate new your yankees i love New York. I look forward to beating the yankees in there new stadium next year. So as a red sox die hard i bid farewell to you yankee stadium!
Also i friggen love frank sinatra and this is the song they play after there home games.
While it was the House the "Ruth Bulit" greats like Williams, Tony C., Fisk and Yaz played there is held one of the biggest moments in Sox history the epic game seven of the ALCS.

Yankee stadium is/was a huge part of baseball history and to me, its a shame its being replaced. Old parks are the best parks! And a big Happy Birthday to you, my Wunny Pum-big hugs!

I was there for Old Timers's Day 1996. Seeing...actually seeing and being in the presence of DiMaggio gives me chills every time the scene plays in my mind. I'll miss the stadium greatly.
And I hope the spirit of the buried Ortiz jersey brings years of collapse to the Skanks. At least collapse of their ticket pricing insanity...

A guy on my hockey team (NY native, life-long Yanks fan) was at the big final game. Said it was annoying as hell how many times they played Sinatra after that game, they just put it on repeat and cranked it up. I know I heard it at least four times on ESPN. Any good song gets old if you just keep playing it over and over and over...
