This for all of us who believe 14/09!!!!!
Dominate and intimidating from the start.
He showed us passion, desire, and heart.
He was a force the minute he came in.
Making plays along side Fred Lynn.
Slashing lines drives and producing runs.
Watching him play was so much fun.
Except for the pitchers, he caused them doubt.
Because they couldn't figure how to get him out.
Many don't remember his all around play.
His legs, arm and glove could also save the day.
Taking extra bases, or playing the wall.
Jim Rice always gave his all.
But now I wonder why he must sit and wait.
To see if he gets the call, about his Hall of Fame fate.
This is an honor that's long overdue.
So when your day comes, Red Sox Nation will invade Cooperstown for you!!!!
