My First Blogging Attempt ...

Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry it's been a couple of days since my last post.

The big question as the trading deadline approaches is what will the Red Sox do, if anything. I don't have any inside information but I would guess that Theo will hold to the philosophy that has served him well in the past. He will not mortgage the future by trading to temporarily plug a hole today.

If Masterson can hold down the middle relief role that will go a long way to resolve the current issues. Also, let's not forget that Big Papi's return is eminent. In short, I do not expect to see any major trade (off course I have been wrong before).

On another subject, this week's poll on the Remy Report is asking whether or not the Red Sox should part company with Manny and his $20M salary. As of this moment 1142 people have voted and 42% say it is time to let him go. What do you think?

Let's hope we can complete the sweep today in Seattle and the Rays drop another.

	Manny and Tek are definately going to be back for 09! Masterson had a solid 2 innings tonight to help sweep the Mariners. Manny is one of the best hitters to play the game. Keep Manny, but this "Manny being Manny" excuse is starting to wear thin. Fighting with Youk in the dugout (granted, we don't know who's fault it was), pushing down the traveling secretary (unexcusable), and then freaking out at the ownership to the press. I am a BIG Manny fan, and he is one of the all time greats, but we need to stop making excuses for his off the wall behavior.
