Before you type "THINK"

This goes to all that post. Truly think about what you are about to send. If you have NO CLUE as to what you are talking about "STOP"! The Boston team has been playing since 1871. They have played under many names since that time. We have had many great players on those teams as well. since we live in the United States of America, we have a right to chose the team we support. With that said, When you enter, post, make a statement, ETC, ETC and ETC. on this and/or any site devoted to the SOX. You should have at least educated your self as to a little history of the team. When you make a statement against a player (past/present) be prepaired for the rath (of the RSN and RSM). This is a Fan site and it does goes to the extreame. If you are not prepaired to handle the fans "THINK". What you believe in does not include the "NATION". It is your opinion. If the Nation does not agree, deal with it.

	I am interested to know how many of the people on this site.. i tend to be more aware of the stuff that happened after i was able to follow the sox more closely during the 90's. but i am well aware of the history of the boys. and yes it doesnt take much to log online and research the crap out of stats. but in my defense. i dont live in the new england area. so i don't get to see nesn all the time. unlike down here we have comcast and the phillies are always being talked about. so those who get nesn are always going to have the edge on knowledge and have it ingrained in them. like i do with phillies info. i wish i could get nesn. damn cable mafia!!lol ...View More

Not true Don.. I have comcast on ALL my TVs EXCEPT the basement/bar tv.. I have DirectTV JUST so I can get NESN during baseball season.. then I cancel it. Im not saying you should know every stat of every player that ever played.. its literally impossible to do.. and anyone that says they can do that is lying to you ( id love to ask them in person) Im talking more or less about monumental trades etc.. For instance.. I just posted a reply in one of the Nomah threads about how I disliked Gagne. and I mentioned the Bagwell/Anderson trade in 90. Any true Red Sox fan still remembers that trade.. and I garuntee there will be people scratching their head looking all over b-r.com and Almanac trying to see if Bagwell really ever played for the sox system ...View More

There's a book out there for people who have no idea of Red Sox history. I saw it in the bookstore last week. It's something like the Red Sox Almanac. Anyone who doesn't know the history of our esteemed team should invest the $25 in the book and READ IT rather than just pick up quick facts on the Internet. JMHO. I think a lot of people on here know their stuffs just from years of watching games and reading things and what not. I tend to say stuffs then look it up, which is probably not the best way. But thank God for NESN and direct tv. I live out of the area so I have to watch most away games on other networks (which really makes me appreciate NESN all the more) And some of the shows like the Remy's and what not black out. But I still get Sportsdesk along with the pregames and post games. ...View More

Great Blog.... and I agree with alot of what has been said by you and the commentators...I myself grew up watching WSBKTV38 in Conn. Hawk Harrelson , Will Mcdonough, Bob Montgomery, ect. the players Rice, Lynn, Yaz, Spaceman, Burgmeier, Remy, Rooster,Carbo,Hobson, ect. I don't need to look up stats but I do so I don't miss quote anything (there is nothing wrong with making sure your right, MD.) Now that I live out of the area I subscribe to direct TV...but I will admit that with age my memory has faulted, which gives me even more reason to use help from websites..I do know one thing for sure and thats the facxt that all of my looking up of stats does not make me any less of a fan of OUR RED SOX........AND ANYONYONE THAT QUESTIONS MY LOYALTY OR KNOWLEDGE BECAUSE I HAVE TO LOOK THINGS UP TO MAKE SURE I DON'T SEEM LIKE A FOOL ......WELL YOU FIGURE OUT THE REST!!!! ...View More

I don't question anyone's loyalty if they have to look things up. We've all watched SO MANY games in our time that it's not possible for us to remember everything.
