What's up Red Sox Nation. My name is Carlos, but everyone calls me alexval due to my profile name which is my daughter's names combined,(Alexis and Valerie). I currently attend UNLV, majoring in Journalism. Both of my daughters are part of the Nation. My oldest daughter, Alexis, will be attending her first Red Sox Game in Oakland (04/01/08) with her mother. Exactly ten (10) years to the date, I was there..watching Petey pitch his first Sox game. Coincidence? I have another daughter on the way,(Melody), and she will be a Born Into It Sox Fan like my two girls. I live in Las Vegas but I'm originally from California. Lived in South Central L.A for 13 years and then moved to Northern Cali. I grew up a Dodger fan and became a Red Sox fan when I was 10 years old during a trip to Oakland Coliseum to watch the Red Sox vs. A's. I went to that game with the intent to get an autograph from the A's big hitters like McGwire, Canseco, Ricky Henderson....but none bothered. Some Red Sox bench players, (cant recall the names), were friendly enough to take the time to sign autographs and talk to us. Since that day, I've been part of the Nation. I've seen the Sox play in Oakland, San Diego and Anaheim. I was in Oakland to watch Pedro Martinez pitch his first game as a Red Sox in 1998 and kept the ticket stub,(my pics). I saw Peavy vs. Beckett in San Diego last year and Beckett vs. Weaver at Anaheim in 2006. Yes, I cried when we lost in 2003..I cried when we won in 2004...that has to be the best moment of my life. Im working hard in fulfilling my dream of going to Fenway Park. And when I do, I'll probably be crying like a little girl. I'm going to curl up in a fetal position after the game and refuse to leave. Hopefully this year.......any other questions...please ask.
