About Me

Governor, Red Sox Nation, Georgia. I have lived in Georgia with my family since 1979, living and dieing with BoSox since then. Highlight was my brother Sean was married during the 1986 WS. I saw Bruce Hurst throw his masterpiece game #5 at Fenway. Sean unfortunately was married on the day of game #6! I became a pretty good Atlanta fan during the 90's, with those great pitching staffs, Smoltz, Glavine, Maddox, Avery, Leibrandt, Neagle. As I approached 50, traveled to Detroit 1999, last season of Tiger Stadium, been traveling each year since with the Sox. My first Red Sox Nation membership was a gift from one of my ever expanding travel group, about 25 now! I became RSN Governor of Georgia in September.I have been the Managing Partner of Atlanta New York Prime-A Steakhouse since March 17, 2003.Looking to be active here on this site!

Here are my plans for this year- Tentative activities that I'm planning to do this Spring and Summer baseball season- 1. Opening day watch party at Central City Tavern, Atlanta , I believe its Monday April 6th. CCTavern is in process of moving to Howell Mill Road area to bigger spot with more parking according to website sometime this spring! 2. RSN Nation Braves/Cubs game on June 6th at Turner Field, I had to buy beaucoup tickets along with my three game package of Group Sales for the June red Sox series, they are doing the same thing for Yankees series 3.Fund raiser event for Jimmy Fund on Thursday, June 25 the night prior to the Red Sox arrival in town for the three game series, June 26,27,28. Watch party live and silent auction, 50/50 raffle! Most likely at a venue to be named later, negotiations are in progress. I'll keep you posted! 4.Obviously the three game series in June(26,27,28th), my traveling group tix are near the Red Sox bullpen on left field foul pole. 5. A Sunday game with the Pawtucket Red Sox vs.Gwinnett Braves, negotiations for tickets with them still in progress, August 16th. They may have problems with opening the stadium, but should be up and running smoothly by August. Possibly a Sunday to Greenville and see the Drive(Red Sox Single A team) Sunday June 14 6. Multiple watch parties during the season at hopefully some different venues around Atlanta . Since I am a restaurant operator, my participation would be limited to Sunday/Mondays or west coast games, but I hope to get the group strong enough to meet on their own during the season. www.NewYorkPrime.com is our website with directions on it. We are in Buckhead opposite Phipps Plaza, off Lenox Road, we have a Peachtree Road mailing address(3424) but actually on Monarch Drive, a small cul de sac below the Ritz Carlton Buckhead, disregard any signs as they definitely mislead you, my email is [email protected], Bobby D

I have a special place in my heart for the 1986 team so I know where you're coming from. Gibson and the Cardinals were something special, no doubt about it.
