Carl Yastrzeski, even 41 years later the name brings to mind some of the greatest moments I have ever experienced , it was 1967 I was 10 and Carl Yastrzemski was my idol . He was having the greatest single season I had ever seen . He had a heart the size of a buick and he carried the team on his back to the pennent. Well now that heart may be failing him, and I am here to ask you to say a prayer for my childhood Idol.
We all know what kind of heart this man has, and we know he does not know how to give up. So join me now in a moment of prayer, and with our help, and the help of the lord above we will pull him through this health emergency . The ten year old inside me knows he will pull through , he has never let me down before, and in his chest beats the heart of one of the greatest competitors to ever live .
Lord please grant your aid to one of our own who is now in need of your assistance, he is one of our hero’s, and the world would be a sadder place without him, please hear our prayers and bring our captain back to health , I pray to you . For his Family and For the joy he brought to me and to millions of Red sox fans over the years please grant us this Wish .
