 Good morning Captain Carl , I see today’s your day. God has given you a gift this week, and with us you will stay , I’m glad you wont be leaving, I ‘m happy your still here , if you were in my nieghborhood, I’d take you for a beer, Today the sun is shining, its bringing joy you see, the captain he will stay around to keep us company !
Many years have passed us by , many games we’ve played , since you took your last at bat , down on Yawkee way. I remember when we both were young, you hit the ball with glee , on your journey through the years towards immortality , you made me ooh so happy , to see you come to bat , cause number eight was truly great, when when it came to that !
Your fielding it was flawless, and your arm was without peer, the chants we heard at fenway park brought pleasure to my ear, but now we’re getting older , our temples turning gray , I thought I’d write this blog for you upon your special day ,
Happy birthday Yaz, God bless you and keep you ,for many years to come ,
