poet's wanna be !!

well i am going to give this poem writing a whirl
I will sum up the long injury filled season
we are in the playoffs for all the right reasons
we are a team that will always overcome
and they though in 04 we were 1 and done
here is is in the season of 08
and look where we are ,our stats are great
We have struggled with bruises and bumps
and God knows Mikey Lowell took some lumps
Manny is gone and Jason Bay has come to our town
The bat he brings and the fielding he does no need to frown
The cold weather is upon us and hockey will be starting soon
as I pray to the baseball Gods and look upon a blue moon
We have tasted the sweet taste of the championship twice
I sure we all agree the third time will be just as nice
Mikey get better ,bullpen give us what we need,Jason keep leading us well
and for heaven"s sake I hope a golf ball hits Arod off the head and rings his bell!
OK the ending was not all that it should have been but I had to throw a dig in to the swankees!!!I know it is not poet but I tried
