Red Sox Books
February 12, 2008
So I am a pretty big reader, and I have read a lot of Red Sox books and i am bored tonight (mostly putting off my hw) so I decided to rank my top five Red Sox books, So here it is.
5. Fear Strikes Out - This was a great book, my pops read it to me when I was a young kid, maybe like 7-8 Jimmy Piersall was a crazy bastard! (The movie was good too)
4. The Ballpark: One Day Behind the Scenes at a Major League Game - This might be the first book dad read to me, he had to order it from the bookstore, they didn't have many book on Fenway or the Sox here.
3. Teammates - David Halbertstam is an amazing author, this is a MUST read for any Sox fan.
2. Feeding the Monster - This book was great, an inside look at the Sox front office, very well written. I couldnt put it down.
1. Now I can Die in Peace - I love Bill Simmons, I think he might be my favorite sports writer, I love his wit, I hope one day i can write as well as he can. Very good and funny read.
I know there are some I am forgetting but those are my favorites. Also if your looking for another good read try The Final Season by Tom Stanton. Very good book!
Thanks for reading, much respect!
