I still like Damon for what he did for us in 2004. I was pissed off that he went to pinstripes but after 2 years, it seems a little bit rediculous to still be mad at the guy. '04 team was a Damon of a different color. He took on the Yankees with every fiber of his being. He played the game the way it SHOULD be played...and we were all in AWE of his style. We cheered on his loyalty as his face puckered as if eating a lemon, whenever asked about future play with the Yankees. We all cheered.
But then he betrayed us. He took a knife and stuck it in our back and twisted it...all for MONEY!
Yeah, I'll never forget 04 because that's when the Sox won.
But I'll never forget what happened AFTER 04 when true colors were shown in Damon, instead of the usual, true grit. If he had since apoligized, I think it would have gone a long way for the forgivness that his '04 time warrents. But he doesn't want forgiveness. He doesn't think he did anything wrong.
