Got a fondness for Remy, Marty Barrett, and Mark Loretta. Love Peddy too but my vote has to go with Doerr.

What? Second base? Who's on second base? Sorry Ron... they ran together there and it's too early for my old eyes to work right.

The Poet..
History wise and being his career is over I go with Doerr. As far as history being made and the present I have to go with Dustin Pedroia!

www.nhre..
I happen to be a Peddy fan but he's got two years service time in the majors. Doerr's got his number on the facad, it's a bit premature to say the least to put Peddy in the same category as Doerr.

Ditto what NH RSN said, with Mike Ryan added for my '67 Heart. Walker,Bellhorn and Loretta for helping us get to where we are today with Pedroia. I also tip my cap to Cora for taking Dustin under his wing his Rookie year.

~ Psycho..
Bobby Doerr would have to be my pick.. he was not only a great ball player but also reached out to the community and was a decent role mdel for the days.. but I will have to say he was an idol.. that you would like to be like but in my eyes my father was my role model more than a baseball player.. and the game was always going to be there for us to enjoy together.. and that what baseball is all about bringing famlies togehter.. just like us on here in this website.. Fans coming together to support other fans over the best damn baseball franchise in the world. The RED SOX.. The best thing about this is we get the chance to come into contact with fans from all walks of life and make friendships that can never be broken. RLF Christian ...View More
