Showdown at the Fens !

 Well here it is folks, the season in a nutshell, the Sox hold serve tonight vs. the Devil less Ray’s and in this season series home cooking , seems to be a very important ingredient , the Rays having swept us in their park, and us having returned the favor at fenway. Back then , I wrote a blog quite critical of the Ray’s, and predicting their immediate demise, As the season has unwound so far, my prediction was way off, the Ray’s did not implode right then and there, as I predicted, they took awhile , but the prediction still holds true as the Ray’s seem to have hit the wall at the same time we are beginning to gel.
Having proven they are not your fathers Devil Ray’s , these Devil less Ray’s seem to be returning to form and are ready to cough up the division , the Sox are poised to pounce, and all is right with the world. The Sox having overcome some serious injuries, and upheavals, seem to be back on track and have rediscovered thier killer instinct or ( clutch ) last years Rookie of the year is leading the way, with a follow up MVP bid , and a strong one at that.
Yes ladies and gentlemen , it is September , and every game from here on end has the potential to have a dramatic effect on the outcome of the season, this is where the going gets tough and the tough get going, this is where the Red Sox earn their money , this is where the champs excel , this is September, and we are the reigning world champions although some people even debate the existence of clutch I do not, I have seen clutch first hand , first with Yastrzemski and later with Papi , and finally the whole 2004 team , so here”s to clutch, may it remain til the championship is firmly in sox hands .
Tune in tonight to see Jon Lester , 13-5, 3.37 era. VS. Edwin Jackson , 11-9, 4.07 Era. I knew it would come down to this , the sox love the stretch run !!
