Family

I look at the RSM and I know what true family is. I see people brought together by a shared love. Here, it's the love of our 'Olde Towne Team'. I've noticed a few things since joining Sawxheads. If an individual is out of line the RSM quickly swoops in to inform said individual. It could be in a gentle manner, or, depending of the issue, a rather forceful one. If someone is being unnecessarily attacked, there again, you will see the RSM prviding aide and support. In my mind that is what a family should be. I didn't have a lot of that growing up. Especially in regards to the Sox. I endured riddicule by those who told me the team was nothing but a group of rag-tag losers.
I din't have anyone like the RSM to come in and have my back. I see how dedicated the Family is here. I see situations like the asshole 'Tek Takes 'Roids'. Who do we see being the first to bring about corrective action. I will admit, the first couple of post slamming that little dirt bag inspired me. It also made me proud to defend my team, just as I had so many times in my youth.
I remember shouting at my own father that the Sox were a great team, that, NO!, they weren't just like the Brewers who had choked 4 years earlier. The Sox weren't talented yet sorrowful. They were magical, Fenway was magical.
I can say with the utmost confidence that I would never have to wonder if the RSM would turn it's back on me as he did. RSM knows what it is to endure heartbreak, just as they know how to celebrate with tears of joy! They know the power of Faith and they know how it can be rewarded. I believe that they were the first to shed tears at the passing of Teddy Ballgame, as well as cheer on Pedey in the bench clearing Zimmer brawl. They shouted for joy as Pudge waived the ball fair, and they cursed to the sky at both Bucky F*&kign Dent and Aaron F*&king Boone. The lump was in their throats, them immediately replace by nausea at Billy Buck, and the lump returned will grateful results on October 27th, 2004. I can only say, with the exception of Pudges Homer as I was not yet here, I shared those moments with you all. I know what true family is, and it IS the RSM.
