Oh, The Way They Play With My Heart
April 20, 2008
Well folks, I haven't blogged in a while, and I won't claim to be a profound as our beloved Reverend Ron, but I will say this. I can't take a whole season of these. The last few weeks I've been glued to my Gameday Audio and the conforting voice of one, Joe Castiglione. It hasn't failed, by the 5th inning my brain tells my heart to stay strong, that we'll get the next one. As soon as I have convinced myself of another loss, the boys do it agian. Who's it gonna be? Manram, Papi, Tacoby, Dusty, the kid, Jed Lowrie? As it stands right now, even Mayor Casey is getting involved. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the wins. I like having a higher number in the 'W' column than the Stankees do. It's just the way that we've been doing it. These last inning heroics are bound to take their tole on my pulmonary system. If we have too many more of these, you might be coming to visit me in the hospital. I mentioned in City's chat today that this team has parts of the great Sox teams of the past. There's a little bit of 67, 75, 86, 99, 03, 04, and 07 al rolled into this team. When you have pieces like that, it can only result in a positive complete season. I told you in my last blog to hang on and enjoy the ride. The ride has been exciting, to say the least. Just wait folks, it shall only get better. Till next time, Go Sox, Dominate in 08, And, as always, Stay Faithful!
