Is anyone else going to miss their arch nemesis?

With the roar of the crowd, the intensity of the spine numbing last moments in the last game of this years regular season...the realization that we are going to the post and leaving the Yankees (those SUCKERS!!) behind...does anyone else feel a bit sad that we will no longer be playing the team that we LOVE - OH SO MUCH- to beat???
Don't get me wrong, I am suPREMly exSTATic that we are in this!!!!! I am STOKED!!!!!!! I am ADRENALIZED !!!(just made up that word, I think!) I am SOOOOOOO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still though, it's new territory for us. Not that we are going to the post-season certainly...but that we are going to the post season withOUT a fight with the SKankmes. Most of me really really and I mean REALLY revels in the fact that the highest paid team fizzled so poorly, out of the gate and never really got it going all year long. It wasn't a fluke or a sudden compilation of too many injuries for them to overcome...no, they had the 'talent'..they just didn't have the drive this year, for probably more than one reason..( the curse of TORRE!!!)
I do always get this way, just at the ending of the regular saeson play because I know it's that much closer till the VERY end...although, I suppose, that makes it that much closer to the following Spring Training..(which gets me STOKED all over again!!)
Only this time, we won't have Rivera to taunt...or Afraud to jazz....or even Demon to throw insults at (which is why, this game, we let LOOSE on him, I think!! Did you HEAR THAT!!!?? That was COOLL!! HE even looked rattled!!!! LOL).
We won't have all the possible scenarios we can think of, while waiting for post season to commence, that would maybe involve those little tiny itty bitty flys that just drove Joba NUTS in Cleveland! Or the possibility of seeing some post game reactions from those Skankee players and the manager, which is ALways a sheer DELIGHT!! The 'magic' will be there but it won't be the same.
Instead, we will have to get re-acquainted with Aneheim...I don't know about you but I don't know them NEAR like I know the Skankmees. The adreneline won't be any less, the competitiveness surely won't be dimmed...but it would have been nice wouldn't it? ..I mean, if the two worlds, Red Sox Nation and the Evil Empire were set to collide, once again!!!
Yeah, I don't mind saying that I'm going to miss that, this time around. ..though I've a feeling I better get used to it! ;O LGRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
