Beckett on the WHEATIES box!

so im cruising the isles of my local grocery store, and maybe this is old news to you... but Josh Beckett is on the cover of the wheaties box!
basically i freak out
im not in mass so the people in the cereal isle are all "that guy must really like getting 11% of his dietary fiber from his breafast! he's friggin' nuts" now, Ive never been in a situation where ive seen an adult get so excited about a cereal box, so i dont know how id have reacted if i were them... so since they werent wearing yankee caps or nothing i let it slide. (id imagine it was something like when i was a kid and saw frosted flakes had those octopus things that crawled down the wall in it again) but anyways i was standing there trying to figure out how many boxes to buy and the thing is, i dont even eat wheaties.
ive never considered keeping a box of food as a collectors item... its a weird sensation. i mean, i have some old baseball cards that were cut from the side of mac and cheese boxes....and thats about it. im just kind of weird about collecting stuff related to what i eat. so what to do about this amazing box?
my wife and i are two isles away from the cereal now, ive decided on two boxes, that way i can open one, just incase theres something special inside... (the box gives me no clue that this would be true... but what other red sox happiness might i be missing if i dont try right?) so i can eat one box (trying to remember if i even like wheaties) and think about saving the other one... im still talking about it. my wife is being a good sport, she's excited for me... she knows i love my pitchers (she doesnt really relate to me on that.. she likes the base stealers.. highlight of the game for her) and she knows this is probably the happiest ive ever been in a grocery store so she's trying not to ruin it... but ive got to make some decisions about what i want to eat for dinner next week. i cant focus, he's going to win the cy young this year.. he's apparently been awesome everytime he's touched the mound this year... its all i can think about. well, that and wheaties.
anyways, we check out... i spend over $100 and dont have a clue what i just bought. but its awesome anyways. im apparently a cereal box collector now. i know other sox have graced the box, so im a little behind.. but i can live with that. this is a pretty sweet box.
p.s. theres still a couple spots left in my for sawxheads members only yahoo fantasy league that will draft march 13th. we already have 13 managers. the league is id # 53121 ..... password: redsox..... i know it wont be as cool as this box is, but it should be fun all the same.
